Close to Takijiri-oji on the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route. Daily busses that connect Shirahama & Tanabe to Hongu stop at Takijiri-oji.

How	Call to make a reservation (0739-64-1470) (Japanese) Reservations up to the day before accepted.
Change Time	It takes around 15 minutes to change into the Kimono.
Price	2500 yen (Per person for one hour) Freely take your own pictures!
Area	Please stay in the Kumano Kodo Kan and Takijiri-oji area.

Hongu

At the Karasuya restaurant and onsen footbath in front of the grand shrine Kumano Hongu Taisha. Daily busses connect Shirahama, Tanabe and Shingu to Hongu. (Tanabe City, Hongu Town, Wakayama Prefecture) 

When	10:30 to 16:00 (Fri, Sat & Sun)
How	Call to make a reservation (090-3285-9046) or just show up. If you don’t have a reservation you might have to wait. (Please call in Japanese)
Change Time	It takes around 15 minutes to change into the Kimono.
Price	4,000 yen for women 3,000 yen for men (Per person for one hour) Freely take your own pictures!
